Flagler County has much to offer, you can call it the Quiet Side of Florida where you can relax and enjoy all days of the year.

So what is there to do in Flagler County?

The following is a list of things you might consider doing:

• Try some bike riding, tennis, skateboarding, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and bird watching. Any of these recreational activities can be done in one of our beautiful cities, county, and parks.

• You can also play golf, of course, lots of it. Our county is considered a "golfer's paradise." So why not tee off for a round of golf with your friends?

• Flagler County has an abundance of opportunities to go fresh or salt water fishing. Hang your "Gone Fishing" sign out and hit the pier.

• 19 Miles of beautiful beach on the Atlantic Ocean where you can enjoy water sports, sunbath, take a walk, picnic with family, or just relax watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

• Thinking about a visit to a museum?  Visit our Flagler Beach Museum and study the culture and heritage of this fascinating place. Or head off for the Washington Oaks Gardens, Princess Place, Bulow Plantation, or the Holden House.

• You may also consider to take a Discovery Cruise on the intracoastal waterways. AVIA offers a 45 minute scenic sunset flight and if you want to swim with dolphins, go to Marineland.

• And then there is the favorite of activities for many but in particular for the Ladies: Shopping. Shopping, spas and dining out are always a great time spent and there are plenty of fine restaurants, shops and spas to choose from.

Yes, I know, it's kind of late in summer to make this list of activities, the kids are back to school, but there is always time in Flagler County to do those things, whether it's summer or not. We have wonderful weather all year long, so get out there and enjoy yourself.
