Welcome to Flagler County. For those who enjoy a good round of golf, Flagler County has championship golf courses. For those who prefer more pastoral pursuits like hunting, fishing and Kayaking, or even horseback riding, Flagler is a true haven.

Golf

Ocean Hammock is probably the preeminent resort course in the area, though folks talk excitedly about the new course at Conservatory at Hammock Beach where the 2007 Ginn Champonship was held in March 2007.

There are, however, lots of other golf courses in Flagler County. ITT created golf courses at Matanzas, Pine Lakes, Cypress Knoll, and the former Palm Harbor, now part of Ocean Hammock.

Designers of these courses, to name a few, are Jack Nicklaus (Ocean Hammock, Grand Haven) and Rees Jones, Tom Fazio, and Pete Dye.

Hunting, Fishing and Kayaking

Flagler County boasts some of the finest pristine waterways in the state along with large swaths of undisturbed land that offer habitat for wild animals. Moreover, there are numerous horse riding trails that offer hours of care-free picturesque trail riding.

Tennis, Swimming, Surfing, Sailing and lots more

Of course, you can play tennis in dozens of places and swimming or surfing, just look at the wonderful beaches we have: Flagler Beach, Beverly Beach and so many others along Palm Coast.

So whether you decide to stop in for a day or make Flagler your home, we think you'll find Flagler a comfortable place to raise a family, retire or just enjoy the laid back leisure lifestyle you've always wanted.
